Review 10/19/2010

We have had an experience similar to the previous reviewer. My stepson was contacted on 10/15/10 about a time share he has for sale, by a John Morgan who claimed to work for Universal Financial Services. Mr. Morgan claimed he had a buyer for my stepson's time share who was ready and willing to pay even more than it is worth and asked for an upfront $2,000 payment for lawyer fees and deed transfer fee. He said the company would only take the payment in the form of a pre-paid credit card and needed it within 48 hours in order to complete the sale. My stepson did not have the money and asked his dad & I for it. We were immediately suspicious and researched the company only to have Mr. Mowbray kindly verify that the whole thing is a scam. Universal Financial Services in San Jose is a financial planning company and does NOT deal in the sale of time shares!
